From Thursday to Saturday DCAD Filmmakers and Screenwriters are invited to network and celebrate, before screenings in the Angelika lounge, from 6 - 6:45PM. Please come, snap some photos in front of our Step & Repeat/Red Carpet, and meet your Class of 2024 alumni!

The Filmmakers Mixer is free and open to all.​

We celebrate and support Genre Films! Horror, Thriller, Dark or Quirky Comedies, Experimental, Grindhouse, etc. We want them!

Nestled in the heart of the national capital, Washington D.C., the DC After Dark International Film Festival is a part of the GO Independent series of film festivals in the FAME family. Our goal is to give more opportunities for independent filmmakers and screenwriters to showcase and promote their art.

***COVID STATEMENT***
​
We are producing a full on, live film festival at the Angelika Pop Up in Union Market, Washington, D.C. HOWEVER, we are susceptible to country, state and local laws, which enforce specific, gathering guidelines. To that end, circumstances beyond our control include venue policy and protocol, and insurance limitations.
​
For the year 2024 and for the foreseeable future, we will be producing both a virtual and live event. Please understand, before submitting, that with little to no notification, we may have to change presentation formats.
